About the role
Every evening, Sarang Pay settles money into the bank accounts of small merchants. If a payout is late, a warung owner cannot restock the next morning. You will join the four-person settlement team that owns this pipeline, from ledger entries to bank file generation.
What you will do
- Design and ship changes to the settlement service, written in Go and backed by PostgreSQL and Kafka.
- Cut end-to-end payout time. Today the median is 41 minutes after cut-off, and the team wants it under 15.
- Write the runbooks and alerts you would want at 2 a.m., and take part in a fair on-call rotation (one week in six).
- Review designs from other teams that touch money movement.
What you will bring
- Five or more years building backend systems in production, with at least two in payments, banking or another domain where correctness matters more than speed.
- Comfort with idempotency, reconciliation and failure handling across services you do not control.
- Clear written communication in English. Bahasa Indonesia is helpful but not required.
Pay and benefits
The monthly range above is gross base pay. On top of it: a 13th-month salary, private health cover for you and your family, and three days a week in our Kuningan office with the other two from home.
